Unpacking LELO vibrators and LELO male masturbators is always an experience in itself.
The details scream luxury – you have a beautiful matte black box that holds the Surfer 2 plug itself, a satin storage pouch, and a USB charging cord.
You also have a warranty registration card. Not nearly as glamorous as the rest of the stuff…but just as essential. You want to know that your toy is covered since LELO’s are not exactly cheap.
Speaking of LELO SURFER 2 itself – it is the most beautiful butt plug I’ve ever seen.
And I’m not being over-the-top either. I simply adore that combo of black/gold and that silky touch of the silicone.
The base of the plug is also noteworthy – it looks like a wave or a surfboard. It may sound weird at first, but just look at it in all its golden glory.
This small touch makes the Surfer 2 look like something that belongs in a Louvre instead of your rear.
And yes, this base is practical too. It will stay in place while remaining comfortable and completely safe.
The sizing of the plug stands at 103 x 96 x 34 mm with an insertable total length of 77 mm.
For those of you completely new to vibrating butt plugs, I can safely say that this sizing will be suitable for beginners as well.
It is small enough for not being a shock for your butt while also having plenty of fill to it for people already experienced with anal play.
Now, before I’ll talk about how it felt to wear this, let’s look at some practical stuff like button placement and the app-control.
How To Use The LELO SURFER 2? – Buttons & App
You’ll find the on/off switch button on the shaft of this toy. I’ve seen some reviewers and users say that the button is a bit unintuitive to find and use.
I don’t agree.
You simply long-hold the button to turn the Surfer 2 on and quick-press to flick through 4 different vibration patterns. You’ll find another 2 patterns packed into the LELO app.
Now, to switch between the 8 different intensities, you’ll have to get the LELO app. The Surfer 2 is designed to be used hands-free (and it does work its best that way!) so you’ll want to get comfortable with the app.
I won’t stop on the tech-y details here, but all in all I’d say that the LELO app is very intuitive and you’ll learn about all the interactive quirks in one session. Let’s just say that if you do end up loving this toy then the LELO app will only give you more fun ways to enjoy this one.

My Personal Experience With LELO SURFER 2: Fantastic For Wearing During Penetration
As I already said, the LELO SURFER 2 is pretty beginner friendly in terms of the size. And it slides in effortlessly too. Go slow, use plenty of lube, and the bulb will almost “flow” into your body.
Now, in terms of intensity, I found the default setting a bit too much. With a quick tinker in the app, I found something that struck a chord – plenty of buzz and throbbing without being overbearing.
It feels pretty damn nice once you settle into it. A beautiful, filled, buzzy type of a feeling.
I was also pretty impressed by how well it stayed inside me while walking around and even while doing household chores. Haven’t worn it in public yet, but I’m pretty sure it would handle that as well.
Where the SURFER 2 hits its stride is when I combine it with other forms of stimulation. For example, it felt great for solo play with a clit-focused vibrator like the LELO SILA.
My overall favorite though? During penetrative sex.
I am not generally the biggest fan of DP and similar endeavors, but the combo of my dear partner’s penis and the deep vibrations from the SURFER 2 works so, so well.
Have your dear penetrate you slowly and steadily while wearing the plug and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Just a beautiful, filled-up, buzzy feeling.
Alternative Uses For LELO SURFER 2: Clit Stimulation & Butt Tease
Having played with it for more than a week now, I’ve found that it works as a surprisingly effective clitoral stimulator as well. Obviously, you’ll not want to handle the clit and anus in one single session (unless you do a proper cleaning for your toy mid-session), but I’d still suggest giving it a go as a clit vibrator.
The vibrations from the bulb are deep and rumbly enough for clit stimulation if you use the more intense settings.
The shape of the bulb is clearly not designed for direct clit stimulation…but it somehow still works.
Not enough for me to orgasm, but as a foreplay toy or something you use during intercourse…it does a pretty damn good job.
Alternatively, try “hovering” with it on your anus without entering and then slowly traveling north towards your vulva without breaking contact.
Or vice versa. Tease the outer bits of your vulva and then travel south and play with your anus without entering.
You’ll find none of this in the official guides for Surfer 2, but hey…sometimes we have to color outside the lines in our request for pleasure.
